When it comes to finding natural and non toxic products that you enjoy and use in your home, accessibility can sometimes be an issue. When in Canada, that accessibility becomes even more limited. Most of the popular wellness brands hail from the United States. This is a barrier for most who don’t want to be spending so much on conversions rates, shipping rates, and dreaded duty fees. Even if I had all the money in the world, I would not welcome that unexpected $60 duty fee at my door. That being said, there ARE some really great wellness brands and stores in Canada. I want to keep this post short and sweet to be used primarily as a resource. I myself find it difficult to find affordable, accessible products that are effective. Sephora is a well known online beauty retailer. They have their own Canadian website and facility so no exchange rate or duties apply. They recently launched their Clean Beauty stamp in the last few years. This stamp is placed on products and brands that they deem cleaner beauty. Their standards ensure that brands omit certain toxic ingredients such as phthalates and parabens. I have always received my packages quickly and without issue. Well.ca is a better known option that also carries 100’s of wellness brands. It has a really wide range of products, many of which fall completely under health and wellness. However, when well.ca was acquired by a bigger company, they grew their range of products and many are conventional or don’t fit in either category (ie. water bottles, lunch bags, etc.). Not a big deal as you can still get access to so MANY different wellness brands but I wanted to mention it for those who prefer to read ingredient labels and discern between non-toxic and conventional. I still believe this website is a great resource for different wellness brands for Canadians.

Detox Market Canada has been a long time natural beauty resource for me. It carries the widest range of popular natural beauty and hygiene brands that you may otherwise need to ship over the border.
