There is nothing better than a warm, sweet and spicy smelling home for fall. I love lighting candles for their ambience and scent, but I prefer to leave the toxins out of my air. The Best Natural and Non Toxic Laundry Detergent

May 31, 2024
truly free laundry detergent, truly free, natural and non toxic laundry detergent

If you’ve been slowly switching out your conventional products for natural options or you haven’t quite found the perfect natural laundry detergent, then I have a swap for you. Finding a Natural and Non Toxic Laundry Detergent is one of the most important swaps to make in my opinion. When it comes to replacing toxic items for safer ones, my number one rule is to start with the products that come into contact with you the most. This could mean deodorant, shampoos, hand soaps etc. But one of the most important items to focus on in my opinion is laundry detergent. Not only is it responsible for washing every single clothing item you wear and the linens you sleep in, but conventional laundry detergents are some of the most toxic items you can find on a store shelf.

We breathe it all day everyday and our lungs are incredibly important to our overall health. They are something we want to take good care of because they work around the clock transporting oxygen to our bloodstream. We certainly know to avoid things like smoking and fumes, but it goes beyond that. Thieves Natural Household Cleaner Review + DIY Recipes + Dilution Ratios

July 5, 2020

Cleaning my home is something I like to keep up and I especially like knowing that the products I’m using are natural as well as effective. We all know essential oils can be great tools to keep surfaces clean and get rid of pesky germs, but it’s important to get the right blend of oils to ensure you are effectively managing household germs and grime. I had always dabbled in Thieves cleaning products but when my Daughter enrolled into her first year of Kindergarten I wanted to ensure that I was managing all those germs that were headed my way each day. Previous to school, I had her home with me and while I still maintained a clean home I wanted to make sure I achieved a deeper clean without compromising on keeping conventional cleaning products out of my home. My only regret was that I hadn’t bought the entire Thieves kit sooner. I had started with the thieves essential oil to diffuse into the air at home, their foaming hand soaps, hand sanitizer, fruit and veggie soak, and concentrated cleaner and LOVED them. But adding in the laundry soap, toothpastes, on the go sanitizing spray (hello dirty shopping cart handles), and dish soap were an even bigger game changer.

Natural Cleaning Hacks: 10 Household Cleaner Recipes using only 4 affordable Ingredients

January 15, 2018

I do my fair share of cleaning everyday and I despise using conventional cleaning products. They’re toxic, they smell so strong  that they give me headaches, and I just can’t wrap my head around “cleaning” something with another thing that isn’t actually “clean” in itself. I grew up with a Ukrainian Mother & Grandmother who each taught me everything about using the earth in food, cleaning and hygiene. Thanks to their influence, I have always used very basic ingredients to clean my home so I’m letting you in on some of my best natural cleaning hacks for the household (I do have to give credit to my Mother for passing down most of them, where would we be without our Mothers right?). Best part? You only need 4 very affordable ingredients to make every single one of these recipes/hacks. This regime will help keep your house squeaky clean, keep you on budget since you can ditch the expensive cleaners, and keep your house “chemical free”.

It can be diluted at different ratios to create a never ending list of useful products all in one! Every time I turn around, I hear of another use for Dr. Bronner’s castile soap that I hadn’t before! Castile soap is a term used for the soaps that are made purely of vegetable oils rather than animal fats. This makes them 100% pure, vegan and cruelty free! Natural Laundry Soda: why you should consider natural and what toxins are behind the big laundry brands…

March 1, 2016

Laundry is something we do every week of our lives. If you have a family, this can sometimes add up to a few times a day. With the frequency of our laundry cycles, is there a better alternative to the products we buy in the grocery stores? Studies have found that dryer vents give off more than 25 volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) while drying your clothes after washing. These come from laundry detergents, softeners, and dryer sheets. This is not good for the environment considering most dryer vents attach to the outside of your home. However, this is even worse for anyone who has a dryer vent that blows inside the home or is backed up accidentally. So that “nice” smell you take in when your dryer is making your clothes warm and toasty, is actually very bad for you!
