Women are starting to turn to green beauty products everywhere. It is becoming more important to know what is in our products and how to avoid chemicals. There are so many options available nowadays and this page can serve as a guide to which options are best.
This year I’ve put together a number of holiday gift guides to help others make their lists or shop for their loved ones. Anyone who follows my blog knows that I am a Green Beauty advocate and its really the theme that kick started this entire blog to where it was. Its where I hold a great deal of knowledge, from researching my butt off for years to testing product after product. I only share the ones I truly love on this blog and so what better opportunity to point you in the right direction than the holidays? Here’s a list of my Green Beauty MUST HAVES that you can shop directly from this post. Send this to your gift givers as a subtle *hint hint* or use it as your personal guide to spoil your people (or yourself).

I have always loved doing my own hair, so much so that I had a hard time giving up that control when I hired a stylist for my wedding day. Thank God I found the most amazing stylist who totally rocked and worked magic on my tresses that day, You can find Emylea’s website and all her amazingness HERE.
I came across Lewin & Reilly skin care months ago and believe me when I say, I wish I had stumbled upon it sooner. I have been so lucky enough to test out some amazing skin care products over the years but I have really found a favourite when it comes to Lewin & Reilly’s product line. Rarely do I find a company that gets my full approval and excitement for every single product in their line but this group of magical skin potions have certainly done it for me. Not to mention, I absolutely adore the owners who are so lovely to speak with and really know what they’re doing when it comes to natural skin care.
‘The Beauty Archive’ of Sweden: Finding the ‘Perfect Pout’ for Bridal Season
June 22, 2017Finding Lip colours has always been a struggle for me. I have a hard time finding a neutral that works for my pale complexion, a red that isn’t too far orange or too far blue, and while pinks work best for me, I’m still picky about the tone so I don’t look too overdone in my day to day life. Every once in a while I stumble upon colours that just work.
I can’t wait to share the MUN brand with all of you. This is a line filled with so much meticulous care within each formulation that is quickly evident to all who try it. Not to mention the owner Munemai and her amazing staff are some of the most lovely people around. After gushing over their oil cleanser in a recent blog post that addresses how to get rid of acne with oil cleansing (read all about it HERE), I was so grateful to receive the rest of their line to test out and share with all of you. When it comes to MUN skincare I don’t really know where to start, its just so amazing. From its high quality product to the sleek & chic black glass bottles, I just can’t tell you all how much I adore this line. I wanted to touch on every single product that I’ve tried, so here it goes:
Minimalist 3-step Natural Make up Look: Because an extra 15 min. of sleep is bliss
April 5, 2017Being a stay at home Mom means that I rarely get the chance to put my makeup on and when I do I’m usually rushed to get myself and a toddler ready (FAST). I have perfected a minimalistic approach to makeup over the years so I can get myself out the door as quickly as possible, and have found the perfect products to achieve the look. I used very few products (using some as multi-purpose, win!) which translates into less time consuming face painting and a quicker door exit strategy! Plus, your makeup bag won’t be packed full if you’re bringing it with you on the go.
How to boost the Health of your Skin: Mixing & Matching ‘Back to Basics Skincare’ Face Oils
March 29, 2017You may have heard me rave about Back to Basics Skincare before, and it was so well deserved. This line of facial oils is to die for and I cannot get enough of what they have done for my face. I had the pleasure of testing out the rose hip radiance oil months ago and have a full review here. The Rose hip Radiance oil may actually be my top choice for a face oil and one that I think every skin conscious beauty needs in her bag of tricks. It is unbelievable that a face blend could feel and work so well for my rebellious skin. I loved this oil so much that I had to try the other two facial oils that are in the back to basics line, the Macadamia nut hydrating oil and the Avocado Repairing oil.
This was a package that I was eager to receive and opened quickly to have a look at the beautiful bottles inside. Verdura Natural Alternatives is a Canadian based company, which is something that always steals a bit of my Canadian heart. They use some of the most beautiful ingredients to create their skin care line, including floral extracts that smell so lovely when you open the bottles. I always like to try a range of different products to see what a company is like and three of their products have stood out to me. I tried their Bamboo Diva face wash, their Lotus hydration mist and last but certainly not least the Illuminati Face mask (which gets its gorgeous colour from the turmeric used). To give you a better idea of the experience you will receive with Verdura’s line, here are my opinions on each of these products:
