Kjaer Weiss is a high end luxury green makeup brand that creates refillable makeup products. They are heavy and “weighty”.. one of those things that feel so good to hold (am I alone on this? Is it weird?) and they have that magnetic closure that keeps that from opening all over your purse.

September’s Detox Box was a throwback to a brand I haven’t used in years, but it was one of the brands that introduced me to green and effective skincare. I fell head over heels with their pumpkin enzyme peel years ago and this box became a throwback for me. Back to a brand that creates beautiful herbal and botanical goodness. I’ve come across many different green and organic brands through this process. It’s really a neat thing to see how creators choose to develop products and what they choose to use and blend. This process isn’t always seen by everyone but I feel it’s important to showcase a brand when they put their heart and soul into their craft. Often times I find products that are blended with “trendy” ingredients without much thought. Then there’s the opposite type of product creating, the kind that has someone behind it that dedicates every ounce of themselves to the process. I’m the girl who owns a zillion lip products but almost always forget to re-apply to avoid the effects of the weather in Canada. I always regret this forgetfulness. About 2 months into winter my lips are screaming at me to figure it out. Over the years I’ve gotten better about my lip care and I’ve also noticed as I age that your lips really do age along with the rest of your face. I guess this makes sense but it’s something I never thought about till I noticed the fine lines and thinning that has started. I’m not one to avoid aging, I love my smile lines and try my best to embrace my wrinkles (thanks kids).. but I do like to take care of myself to help the aging process continue gracefully.
