As promised, I am going to try my best to keep up with the product of the week series. Unfortunately, life happened and I haven’t gotten to the product of the week for a few weeks (eep, sorry guys). A few weeks ago i shared all about my love for new found make up company Clove & Hallow and their long-lasting matte liquid lipsticks. This time I wanted to showcase one of my favourite products for the eye area (and most Mothers will agree that this is generally a problem area when you’re sleep deprived). Not only do I think that the idea of a hydragel eye mask is genius, but they are a great pick me up for anyone needing a little extra TLC in that area. They are also a perfect product to use before going out, whether it be a wedding or a night out with friends, because they lay the perfect foundation for make up by plumping up the eye area and reducing that dark blue-grey colour that always seems to set in when you’re tired.

I am admittedly terrible at taking care of my eye area.. which seems backwards to me because I am so on top of skin care as a whole. For some reason, the eyes get forgotten (sort of like flossing) and while I never really got the worst bags or dark circles before, Motherhood has certainly changed the game for me. So, nowadays I am a little more on the ball with eye care and I keep these guys from 100 Percent Pure on hand to help with dark circle emergencies. These have been my go to eye product for over 2 years now and with good reason.
Masking is one of my favourite parts of the skin care routine, and so, I knew adding an eye mask in was going to be a good option for me. Turns out these green little guys pack some serious skin saving power and always leave me with a plump and even toned under eye area.
The directions suggest that you place these under your eye for approximately 20-30 minutes but thanks to a tip from This Organic Girl (check her out, she’s fantastic and one of my favourites) I started keeping them on until I noticed the water held in the mask was completely gone and sunk into my skin (approximately 75 minutes). This was a game changer for me.. as soon as I took them off my eyes looked SO alert.. I had almost zero discolouration and couldn’t see any lines from dehydration. You can easily pop these guys on and do whatever chores or work you need to do. After you apply them, give the masks a minute to grip onto your skin and then you should be able to stand up without them falling off.
When I apply the eye masks I notice I experience a slight stinging sensation for a brief second and then it goes away and the magic starts to happen. Perhaps this is due to the fact that I have incredibly sensitive skin, but I wanted to make mention of this incase anyone has the same experience and is concerned. It did not have any negative effects for me (no redness or irritation), and this sensation went away within seconds.

I have been better about taking care of my eyes these last few years so I wanted to share another one of 100 Percent Pure’s eye products that have worked wonders for me. I use them in conjunction to the eye masks because they compliment each other so well. My long standing love for the Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream has taken eye care to the next level. It seems to be my go to when i need a pick me up in the eye area as it contains caffeine as an active ingredient. Caffeine contains anti-inflammatory properties which help to calm swelling & redness and help to improve the underage area quickly after applying. This makes it the perfect option for anyone who wants to smooth out fine lines, plump, and reduce pigmentation quickly (i.e. before a big night out). Caffeine also contains antioxidants which improve the appearance of wrinkles and lines over time. I apply this cream directly after the eye masks using my ring finger to lightly dab into the skin (your ring finger is your weakest finger and will do the least damage to the delicate under eye area).

Overall, I have to give 100 Percent Pure 2 thumbs up for creating such effective and affordable eye products in the green beauty world! Stay tuned for the next ‘Product of the week’.

They are the best! Hope you love them as much as I do!
Yes, the under eye area is a serious concern for moms. Can’t wait to try these!
Yes! Seems to be under agreement by all mothers lol!
It’s so true! Eye area is like flossing. It gets put in the back burner lol, but it dedinitely needs tlc. I’ll have to check these out because I love anything that hydrates since I have dry skin !
Yes! So hard to remember the eyes.. but important like you said.. and I am with you on the parched skin.. my skin needs constant hydrating too!
I definitely neglect this area. Perhaps i should try this. I might be pleasantly surprised !
These are nice because they’re a little treat for the eyes and a quick pick me up!
I also am not good at looking after my eye-area. As a retired makeup artist it is kind of shameful. Its kind of like washing my personal brushes. My kit brushes got taken so well care of, but my personal brushes do not get the same attention. lol. those eye masks look super comfy!
Oh my, you and I are like two peas in a pod! lol Those are my two least favourite things to do that get neglected!
I need to take better care of my eyes! I will absolutely check this out!
