There was always one beauty product that took me a while to swap out, Mascara. Searching for the right natural and non-toxic mascara was a feat. I have tried SO many different brands over the years. TOK Beauty was founded and created by Canadian makeup artist and expert, Tara O’Kelly. She also felt there was a gap in the market when it came to cleaner options for mascara. Most natural and non-toxic mascara tubes didn’t give me the results I wanted. They often flaked off throughout the day, ran under my eyes creating that dreaded racoon eye look, or caused overall irritation. I was in LOVE! I prefer the most volume and length possible. The glam lash look is what I typically go for so the formula needs to be able to build. For that reason, I can certainly vouch for her other products as well. TOK Beauty’s lip tonics are these beautiful hued lip glosses that apply well and look stunning. The creamy formula nourishes the lips and looks amazing on. She has also infused them with topical lysine which is a great remedy for cold sores. I love recommending this lip gloss to anyone who suffers from the odd cold sore break out. I don’t experience them personally, but I have received amazing feedback from others on their experience with the lysine formula. TOK Beauty Volumizing Brow Gel
Another product of hers I personally use and adore is her natural and non-toxic volumizing brow gel. I have always struggled with my brows since I fell for the overplucked eye brow trend in the 90’s. Since then, my brows are more sparse than I care for. I long for those thick fluffy full brows. While my brows don’t exactly look thick, they are long and can be brushed up to create a fuller look. That being said, not all brow gels hold for the day. This means my brows fall right back into their thin and sad position. TOK beauty’s voluminous brow gel helps boost the thickness of my brows. As soon as I apply this, my brows appear thicker. I always go in with a pencil to fill in my troubled areas. After this I apply this gel over top. It gives my brows more volume. The tinted gel helps fill in areas where I need some help. They manage to stay all day until I wash my makeup off. There is a range of shades as well as a clear gel option for those who prefer that. Another one of her products I highly recommend. It also comes in the “Essentials Kit” which includes a mascara, brow gel, and lip tonic. All three for a bundled price and great savings.
Here are the brow swatches for the gel. I personally use the Taupe shade as the blonde was too golden for me. There is also a clear option for those who don’t need or want the tinted version. I have used both and love them but my brows need as much extra fill as they can get.
