I’m the girl who owns a zillion lip products but almost always forget to re-apply to avoid the effects of the weather in Canada. I always regret this forgetfulness. About 2 months into winter my lips are screaming at me to figure it out. Over the years I’ve gotten better about my lip care and I’ve also noticed as I age that your lips really do age along with the rest of your face. I guess this makes sense but it’s something I never thought about till I noticed the fine lines and thinning that has started. I’m not one to avoid aging, I love my smile lines and try my best to embrace my wrinkles (thanks kids).. but I do like to take care of myself to help the aging process continue gracefully.

Henne Nordic Berries Lip Scrub
Everyone knows that exfoliation is key to good skincare. Sloughing off dead skin cells and ramping up your skins cell turnover will help your skin glow as well as absorb products better for optimal skin benefits. Your lips need the same and this is a step that is often missed by many.
Henne has developed the sweetest little pot of sugar lip scrub that will help exfoliate the lips keeping them smooth. It will also allow lip serums and balms to penetrate better which will help you to avoid dry, chapped, rough lips. This if my favourite part of lip care.. something about exfoliation is SO satisfying to me. Add the delicious flavours that Henne creates and you’ve got the most heavenly product. You need very little to exfoliate so the lot actually will last quite a few treatments. Just try not to eat it all while you scrub.. but if you do, no worries.. it’s only filled with natural ingredients and flavours so you don’t need to worry about “accidental” ingestion. ;).
Their lip scrubs comes in three delicious flavours, Nordic berries (I have this one and can’t get enough of it) as well as Lavender Mint, and Rose Diamonds. The lip scrubs are 100% Non-GMO and 96.5% Organic.

Henne Lip Serum
Lip serums are a completely new concept to me as if this past year. I honestly didn’t think about them till I was gifted two options, one being the Henne Organics Lip Serum. At first I thought it seemed a bit over indulgent but then I thought about the fact that your lips are just another area of skin to take care of on the face. I load my skincare with the most luxurious serums so why was a lip serum such a foreign concept to me?
This serum comes with a 24k gold plated roller ball application (the packaging by Henne is so beautiful). Roller ball applicators are my FAVOURITE option for lip and eye products.. they also have a natural cooling effect and this can be amplified if you keep them in the fridge for temperature. This serum is a combination of high powered oils (like my favourite rosehip oil) as well as cloudberry oil from the arctic. This serum comes PACKED with antioxidants to fight free radicals as well as fatty acids. Application over an extended period of time will help boost Lip health, promote smoothness, and slow down aging of the lips. The Lip Serum is 100% non-GMO and 86% Organic.

Henne Lip Balm (tinted and V2 Luxury Balm)
Last but certainly not least, the most commonly known lip treatment: the lip balm. Of course, you’d expect that a lip focused line like Henne would deliver a high quality lip balm and you would be correct in assuming this. These lip balms are lovely! They glide on so smooth, are the perfect viscosity (not too thin, not too thick) and they moisturize like crazy!
I was gifted Henne Organics V2 Luxury lip balm as well as the tinted version in “Azalea”.
The V2 luxury lip balm comes in your choice of a pot or a stick. It is so creamy and lucious and will leave your lips feeling pampered. This formula contains rich oils, beeswax, vitamin E and is 100% non-GMO and 99% Organic.

The lip tinted balm in Azalea is just as lush and is the perfect treat when you want to pamper the lips but also want a little dose of colour. It goes on sheer and adds the perfect amount of tint for everyday wear. The colour Azalea was gorgeous (swatches below) and the tint comes in 3 other pretty tones that I can’t wait to try out! I just love the slight colour pay off.. a good sheer Lip is your best friend when you want to wake up your look! If you want a little more colour, it is buildable with extra layers applied.

Henne delivered when it comes to lip care. I’d have to say that so far my favourite product has been their lip scrub and the other products have been taking my lips to the next level. I am currently nursing my second baby (which dehydrates you like crazy) and have experienced ZERO chapping or dryness of the lips which I attribute to the Henne Line.
