The Clean Living Collection: Organic Non-GMO at Home Facials and Natural tooth whitening!

This is one company I’ve been really excited to share with you all. Not only are the products top notch, straight from mother earth, and do unbelievable things for my body… but the owner, Ariel, is so lovely! In my short time chatting with her over the past few months I have come to appreciate her kind natured self! After using her products for the last few weeks, I can certainly tell that she puts her heart and soul into these recipes. She is very transparent in terms of what she puts into her products which is something I have always looked for in the companies I purchase from. Not only that, but she releases the sources from which her ingredients come from.. also noting that any non-vegan ingredients such as beeswax still come from a conscious bee keeper. Trust me, as someone who has tried a seriously long list of green beauty products, those companies who use ingredients that are sourced properly and for their quality stand out by far!

Over the last few months I have had the unique pleasure of watching her develop new products over on her Instagram account (which you NEED to follow, she posts some high quality information for us green beauty/nature lovers @cleanlivingcollection) and I can tell that she has a natural gift for natural concoctions! Basically what I’m trying to say is this gal is where its at when it comes to green beauty! So here’s the scoop on a few of my favourite items that I’ve tried over the past few weeks:

Cleansing Cold Cream (Chamomile & Rose):

Do I have any cold cream fans here? Because here is the natural and non-toxic version that works better and smells lovely! This cream is whipped to perfection and comes in two different types: Chamomile Rose for those with Oily/Acneic/Sensitive skin or Hemp & Green Tea for Dry/Mature skin. I opted for the Chamomile Rose partly due to my sensitive skin and history of break outs… but mostly because I am a little obsessed with anything made from a rose. Roses are such a great thing for your skin!

This cream works exactly like any other cold cream and is used to wash your face and even takes your make up off! You simply rub into your skin and wash off with a damp face cloth! It also doubles as a moisturizer so when you’re finished applying your serums you can use some of this cream as a moisturizer to complete your skin routine! I always love a product with versatility! To extend the life of the cream you can keep it in the fridge which is actually very soothing to the skin after a long day of make up wearing or exposing your skin to the elements. I recently got a
sunburn on my face (oops) and this cream was the perfect cleanser while I still had a little sting! The chamomile also helped calm the redness down while the moisturizing effects have eliminated any peeling from the after effect of a burn.

Illuminating Viridescent Mask:

THIS! This mask is pure magic.. I had to restrain myself from using it everyday so it would last me a little longer. I have always had a touch of extra redness in my skin and have never enjoyed that. This mask has some serious super powers as its the only mask that has ever completely balanced my skin tone and rid my face of its redness. Completely gone! My skin feels so soft, supple, moisturized, and calm after using this!

It’s made with a lot of high quality ingredients including Manuka honey at a therapeutic grade (UMF 16+) and organic

Spirulina. Spirulina is an algae that has some potent detoxifying abilities and is very high in chlorophyl. While the Manuka is soothing, an anti-inflammatory, and enhances skin elasticity and cell regeneration (anti-aging). This was probably my favourite product from this line and I will be hooked forever!

Flowers and Mud Mask:

If you’re going to get anything from the Clean Living Collection, you really need to check out their face masks. This one is also a great option and has been so purifying for my skin! It is a mixture of three different flowers and clay. It contains Rhassoul clay which, as per Clean Living Collections website, has a higher ration of minerals (silica, potassium, magnesium, and calcium) than any other clays! She also mentions that when added to water this clay creates a negative charge which attracts heavy metals, lifting them from your skin allowing you to wash them away when finished.
I have used this mask many times since recieving it in the mail and have noticed my skin becoming clearer and brighter. I use this mask first to draw out impurities and then finish it off with the Illuminating Viridescent mask to add nutrients and moisture back into my skin. Beautiful combo!

3 Clay Tooth Remineralizing powder (Sage & Mint):

I have wanted to use a remineralizing powder for years now! I was so excited to open up my package and find that Ariel had sent me a little extra goodie. She didn’t even know I had my eye on it! Tooth powders are meant to add nutrition to your teeth which is something we rarely do. We have been taught only to clean and strip our teeth of sugar and bacteria. While this is obviously a good thing to do, we still need to add some goodness back into our mouths. I would equate this process with that of a probiotic which adds good bacteria into your gut.

This tooth powder will detoxify, cleanse, whiten, freshen, and remineralize all in one! They draw bacteria, are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. They also give our teeth some strengthening and whitening to make them look bright and healthy. I tried the sage and mint flavour which is probably the closest to a tooth paste flavour you could find. You simply take some powder onto a wet clean toothbrush and brush your teeth! Easy! If you’re looking to improve your oral hygiene, adding this tooth powder to your regimen is a simple and effective way to do so.

Un-Chap stick:

So here’s the deal.. I am really hard to convince when it comes to lip balms.. I have a love hate relationship for them as many of them just don’t fit the bill and after using them a couple of times I end up bored and lose them somewhere within the walls of my house (being real general with the space there.. I literally do not know where they go!) I probably have the same amount of random lip balms around my house as I do lost bobby pins.. so girls know what I’m talking about!

That’s how I know that this lip balm IS the bomb! I tried it once and have actually decided to find a safe home for it so I
wont lose it.. It sits on the edge of a shelf in my living room waiting for me everyday. It’s love! This stuff is packed with lots of healthy and moisturizing ingredients and the best part is the consistency of the balm when applying. I cannot stand thin and slimy lip balms that don’t feel like they’re doing anything but driving you crazy when the wind blows your hair into your face.. which every girl knows causes hair to stick onto your freshly balmed lips. So if I’m gonna brave the wind.. it’s gonna be for a chap stick that actually works in the first place!

Clean Living Collections Un-chap stick is a beautiful medium consistency.. not too thin and not too thick! It sits nicely on my lips but I can also tell it’s soaking into the layers and giving my lips a dose of nutrition! I think it’s sort of like a mask for your lips! Ariel sent me the ‘Lavender Cardamom’ flavour and of course you cant go wrong with those scents! I have been using this daily and it even helped drastically when I got a sunburn on my lips recently! At a really fair price of 3.50 USD, you really cant go wrong! This Lip balm will forever have a home in MY home and wont end up in the graveyard of lip balms I’ve created over the years.
