• Servings per Bottle: Cowboy Colostrum provides the most generous servings with larger scoops compared to other companies on the market. One bottle contains 40 servings.
• Taste/Texture: Cowboy Colostrum is in a powdered form. These powders mix well with liquids and create the most delicious creamy drinks. I have yet to find another colostrum that beats them in the delicious taste department. Their flavors are incredible and my personal favorites are the strawberry and the vanilla. Lemme Colostrum is a new and new to me product. I have dug into the nitty gritty and personally tried their formulas. I want to share an in depth review of my findings and experience. Lemme has created two new colostrum products for their line up of supplements: Lemme Colostrum Gummies and Lemme Liposomal Colostrum. I have trialed both and have a breakdown of each below.

Lemme Colostrum Sourcing Issues

• Lemme Colostrum is “Sourced Globally” + provides limited details: One of the most important things you should look at when choosing a colostrum is sourcing. Most colostrum supplements use a cheaper and less quality colostrum from India. India is one of the highest producers of colostrum due to their dense cow population. When a company does not confidently divulge their sourcing, it should raise some questions. Cowboy Colostrum very clearly states they source their colostrum from a Grade-A fourth generation US dairy farmer who uses grass fed practices. Lemme does not clearly indicate where their colostrum is sourced from. On the Lemme website it states that their ingredients are “globally sourced”.
• Lemme Colostrum uses an Isolate, NOT pure colostrum: As mentioned above, Lemme’s sourcing is a bit questionable. They do not make any mention about their colostrum being grass fed. Grass fed colostrum is the best quality available. If a company sources grass fed colostrum, you’ll hear about it. This leads me to believe that their colostrum is not grass fed which reduces quality significantly. Another important point I want to make is that Lemme does not use a pure colostrum. They state they use a highly processed colostrum isolate. This will not be as effective as a pure, unadulterated colostrum that has been freeze dried to keep nutrients intact.

Lemme Colostrum Gummies Breakdown

• Gummy Supplements vs Traditional Colostrum Formats: Gummies typically contain lower amounts of colostrum to accommodate texture and flavor. You may just be paying for an expensive candy at the end of the day.
• Ingredient Trade-offs in Gummy Formulas: To maintain form and taste, gummies often include sweeteners, flavoring agents, and binding ingredients. While there are some gummy vitamins that deliver, most are useless and contain little active ingredients.
• Servings per Bottle: Lemme’s colostrum gummies contain 30 servings.
• Added Fillers and Sugars: As mentioned above, ingredient trade off when choosing a lower quality vitamin, particularly a gummy form, can mean added ingredients. Gummy vitamins often require higher volumes of sugar and additives to make them palatable and hold the gummy integrity. Lemme has added sugars that many choose to avoid.
• Added Synthetic Vitamins: Lemme contains added synthetic vitamins. In their gummies they add synthetic vitamin D, prebiotics and sugars. When it comes to adding isolated synthetic vitamin D, sometimes it can do more harm than good. I am slightly confused about the need to add these as colostrum contains prebiotics called oligosaccharides that are most beneficial for health digestive systems. Many people do not tolerate isolated added prebiotics as the strains can sometimes create imbalances. Naturally occurring prebiotics are often better digested, tolerated and used.
• Taste/Texture: I don’t mind the Lemme Gummies in terms of being palatable. They are fairly tasty due to added sugars but they have a very synthetic mixed berry taste. Not my favorite but it isn’t the worst.

Lemme Liposomal Colostrum Review

• Liposomal Colostrum vs Traditional Colostrum Formats: Many different vitamins are created in liposomal format. Liposomal supplements are encapsulated in tiny fat structures called liposomes with the goal to deliver straight to the gut. There is a lot of heavy marketing used to push this as a “benefit”, but there are a number of issues with liposomal supplements that often aren’t discussed. It can be poorly tolerated, does not necessarily deliver the nutrients the way it’s intended, have stability issues and cause a number of side effects. I also do not understand why you would require a liposomal delivery for colostrum. Colostrum has a natural affinity for the gut and gut repair. To me, this sounds like a heavy marketing tactic and not much of a benefit.
• Servings per Bottle: Lemme’s Liposomal Colostrum contains only 15 servings in one bottle.
• Added Synthetic Vitamins: Lemme’s Liposomal Colostrum contains a number of unnecessary added synthetic vitamins and fillers. This includes: MCT oil and vitamin E. MCT Oil is added to the product which is known to cause digestive upset in many people. This can include bloating, nausea, abdominal cramping and diarrhea. Lemme also adds synthetic vitamin E, which can also cause digestive side effects. These added ingredients will damper the gut healthy benefits you should be experiencing from taking a colostrum supplement.
• Taste/Texture: The Liposomal Creamer is not my jam. It is thick and smells like poor quality protein powders. It has a very pungent and synthetic vanilla smell to it. I have a hard time consuming this one. I would not suggest this one purely based on taste alone. Not the most palatable supplement.
