Over the Moon for MUN skin & body care

I can’t wait to share the MUN brand with all of you. This is a line filled with so much meticulous care within each formulation that is quickly evident to all who try it. Not to mention the owner Munemai and her amazing staff are some of the most lovely people around. After gushing over their oil cleanser in a recent blog post that addresses how to get rid of acne with oil cleansing (read all about it HERE), I was so grateful to receive the rest of their line to test out and share with all of you. When it comes to MUN skincare I don’t really know where to start, its just so amazing. From its high quality product to the sleek & chic black glass bottles, I just can’t tell you all how much I adore this line. I wanted to touch on every single product that I’ve tried, so here it goes:

Ayour Toning Body Serum: ($75.00 USD) Up until this year I was never a body oil person. I had never tried it and this is surprising considering I am such an advocate for facial oils and oil cleansing. I have tried a few body oils since breaking my streak and this is one of my top choices hands down. It has a fresh spa scent that is mixed with a bouquet of roses, just beautiful! One of the reasons I shy’d away from body oils was that I was nervous they wouldn’t sink into my skin before putting my clothes on, thus creating a sticky and slimy mess. I was so wrong, but only if you find the right product. This body oil does the trick when it comes to sinking into your skin. It just melts right in leaving the same texture as a moisturizer or body butter would.

My biggest suggestion with this oil would be to apply directly after a dry brushing ritual.  The combination of the dry brushing and its ability to get blood flowing at top notch under your skin mixed with this body serums ingredients (the skin smoothing and antioxidant rich Moroccan Olive oil) make it a cellulite blasting powerhouse. I have had issues with uneven skin on the back of my legs for years and this little duo has been my best friend in the last few months with noticeable improvement. The body toning serum is a definite must have for anyone looking to improve the look, feel, and texture of their skin.

Argan Pure Argan Oil: ($70.00 USD) “Argan oil” is seen everywhere since conventional (and toxic) brands decided to use it as a “scapegoat” word to green wash their products. Unfortunately most of the argan oil in conventional products are so over processed that they’re filled with additional chemicals and the quality is just not anywhere near where it should be. So, to be blunt.. MUN’s multi-tasking Argan Oil is the best I’ve ever had my hands on. This product is a dream for your skin, cuticles and hair. It can be used in so many ways its hard to count. I have been using it mostly as a smoothing oil for my hair after styling, as an extra dose of moisture with the body toning serum at night, and to help heal cuticles on my hands and feet. This oil is the ultimate softener and healer, and has created stronger and healthier hair, skin, and nails. This Argan oil tops many of the other Argan oils on the market thanks to the fact that its hand pressed and cold pressed to ensure ultimate quality and the least amount of processing. This oil is reasonably priced (especially considering its quality) and comes in a very generous sized bottle. 

Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner: ($65.00 USD) After you’ve cleansed your skin, you want to ensure that you’re rebalancing your skins Ph levels rather than stripping it of moisture by using harsh toner products that wreak havoc on your skins moisture barriers. This toner is one of the hydrosol-like toners that I definitely recommend. You can either spritz all over your face to add moisture or you can use with an organic cotton pad to wipe over your skin. I actually use a cotton pad first to ensure I’ve removed all make up and then apply a second dose with the spray all over my face to lock in moisture. 

This toner smells like a bed of roses and contains some powerhouse ingredients such as hyaluronic acid which will work to keep your skin naturally renewed and elastic. It also contains natural Salicylic acid which works at removing the top layer of dead skin cells allowing your serums, moisturizer, and facial oils to penetrate deep into the layers of your skin and work that much more effectively. Lastly, it contains goji berry extract which reduce free radicals and assists your skin in maintaining its youth naturally. Have I convinced you that your dehydrating alcohol filled toner isn’t quite up to snuff yet? This is certainly the toner to replace those harsh items in your beauty routine!

Aknari Brightening Youth Face Serum: ($95.00 USD) This Face, neck and eye serum is one to be contended with. Everything about it is to die for.. The texture is between a light face serum and a facial oil which makes me feel like I’ve received the best of both worlds and truly don’t need an extra dose of moisture after this product. 

The wonder ingredient of this serum is the Prickly Pear seed oil which is naturally abundant in linoleic acid and vitamin E, two very important building blocks of your skin. This ingredient works in combination with added benefits of organ oil to smooth our wrinkles and reduce uneven skin tone. It has really boosted elasticity in my skin and has left my skin feeling supple and soft. It is a dream product for anyone who deals with inflammation or reddened skin such as me, as it won’t disrupt your skin or anger it. Last but certainly not least, this serum will naturally boost collagen production which is essential to maintaining healthy ageless skin.
