Materials

  • 2 tsp Sprout Seeds (of your choice)
  • Running Water
  • 1 Mason Jar
  • 1 Mesh sprouting lid or cheesecloth with rubber band
  • 1 Sprouting Stand

Instructions

  • Add 2 Tsp of Sprout Seeds to a mason jar
  • Cover with cool water by about 2 inches and let the seeds soak overnight (or for at least 8 hours). Cover the jar with a sprouting lid or a piece of cheesecloth secured with a rubber band.
  • Drain the seeds, then rinse and drain again.
  • Turn the mason jar upside down over a plate to drain excess water.
  • Turn the jar until the seeds have covered all sides within the jar. This gives them space to grow apart from each other.
  • Set sideways on a sprouting stand in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.
  • Continue to rinse and drain the seeds each morning until sprouts start to form. This takes approximately 3-5 days.
