Gut Healing Bone Broth

Bone broth is a nutrient dense broth that can be consumed daily to help support gut health. the immune system and many other important aspects of health. This traditional superfood has been brought back to modern life by health gurus who have shared the plethora of health benefits associated with consuming it. It is easy to make yourself at home and tastes much better than store bought bone broths. Make a large batch and freeze for later.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 Beef Bones
  • 4-6 Chicken Feet
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2-3 Carrots
  • 2-3 stalks of Celery
  • 1 Onion
  • 3-4 cloves of Garlic
  • 1-2 sprigs of Rosemary
  • 1-2 sprigs of Thyme
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp Peppercorns
  • 1/2 tbsp sea salt
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 12-14 cups filtered water

Instructions
 

  • Add beef bones and chicken feet to a baking sheet and drizzle olive oil over them
  • Roast bones in the oven at 450 degrees for 20 minutes
  • Chop up carrots, onion, and celery
  • Remove bones from oven and add to a large stock pot over the stove top
  • add vegetables, garlic and spices/seasonings to the stock pot
  • Fill stock pot with filtered water. Ensure it is covering the bones and most of the vegetables.
  • Add vinegar to the stock pot
  • Bring pot to a boil and then reduce heat to a low simmer
  • Simmer in low for 8-10 hours
  • Remove from heat and strain bones, vegetables and spices from the broth
  • Add to a jar and enjoy whenever you want a gut healing boost
