I have always been a water person.. and I know many others are just the same. I am always drawn to water when ailments hit, I am tired, sore, or just for pure self care. I even opted for a water birth to bring my baby into the world and just being in my own space under water brought a sense of safety in a very vulnerable moment. So naturally, as an Aquarian, I love my baths. I could soak in a bath everyday if I had the time!
Over the past weekend my little family and I ventured off to a folk festival that we attend yearly. Steve and I have attended this festival every year since we’ve been together and now we get to share our mutual love for music with our little one, Delilah, who seems to share this love if you’re judging it by her dance moves.
I was perusing my instagram account one day when I stumbled upon this adorable little shop, Blue Brontide. Their wooden plate sets and softly coloured baby accessories were of a quality I just had to admire. I have been looking all over for a plate set that fit my standards and unfortunately, there aren’t many out there that don’t include plastic in some way or another. I don’t have a completely plastic free home, but I try as much as I can to replace it when possible and especially for items we eat from.
When it comes to accesorizing, I’m a bit of a minimalist.. I do step out of my comfort zones on occasion to add a little pop of colour or sparkle.. but I really do love me some neutrals! Grey, Black, White, Metals, and now… Woods! I was ecstatic when I began working with JORD wood watches so I could show you all this eco chic and crafted watch. Each watch is made with a different type and colour of wood.. which means each watch is a unique piece with different divets and markings from the piece used to make it.
This is my second post in the new series on how I use different green beauty skin products to create at home facial treatments that stand up to the spas! I have always loved going to get a facial. However, now I just don’t have the time or the money. Thankfully, it is a lot cheaper and economical to purchase high quality skin care products to have a facial (many spa days) at home. These spa treatments usually come with a few steps so I have put together this mini article to show you what products I used this time to pamper myself and boost my skin. I also added links to the product websites for you to link to if you see something you like (just pure skin love shared for you!).
